1. About this service

Ofsted Insights is provided by M Walker, trading as Ofsted Insights (sole trader, England and Wales). By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms.

Ofsted Insights is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to His Majesty's Chief Inspector of Education, Children's Services and Skills (Ofsted) or any government body. All inspection report content is sourced from publicly available Ofsted publications.

2. The service

Ofsted Insights provides tools for analysing and exploring published Ofsted school inspection reports, including AI-generated summaries, inspection date predictions, and benchmarking tools. The service is intended to support school leaders, governors, and education professionals in understanding inspection outcomes.

AI-generated content is produced automatically and may contain errors or omissions. It must not be relied upon as professional advice. Always refer to the original published Ofsted report.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when registering. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You must not share your account with others — each subscription includes a fixed number of named user seats.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, without prior notice where the breach is serious.

Users who registered before 31 May 2026 are granted early adopter access to all features available at that date at no charge until 31 May 2027.

5. Payment and renewal

Payments are processed by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically on an annual basis unless cancelled. You can cancel or manage your subscription at any time via the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — no partial refunds are issued for unused time.

If a payment fails, access will be downgraded to the free tier until payment is resolved.

All prices are inclusive of any applicable VAT.

6. Cancellation rights

Ofsted Insights is designed for use by schools, colleges, governors, and education professionals purchasing for institutional or professional purposes. In most cases, subscriptions are made in a business or professional capacity, and statutory consumer cancellation rights under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 do not apply.

Where a subscription is made by an individual acting as a consumer (i.e. wholly outside any trade, business, or profession), you have the right to cancel within 14 days of purchase without giving a reason. However, by completing your subscription you expressly request that access to the service begins immediately, and you acknowledge that once you have accessed the paid features of the platform you lose this right to cancel. This is in accordance with Regulation 36(1)(b) of the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

7. Acceptable use

You must not:

Attempt to scrape, copy, or systematically extract data from the service
Use the service to train machine learning models
Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or interfere with the service
Use the service in any way that violates applicable law
Represent AI-generated content as your own original professional analysis without appropriate review

8. Intellectual property

Ofsted inspection reports are Crown Copyright. They are reproduced under the Open Government Licence v3.0. School performance data sourced from the Department for Education is similarly Crown Copyright under OGL v3.0.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is". We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you arising from or in connection with your use of the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or special loss, including loss of profits or data.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

10. Service availability

We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may carry out maintenance, make changes to features, or suspend the service, and will give reasonable notice where possible.

11. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your profile page. We may terminate or suspend your access for breach of these terms. On termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. Account data will be deleted within 30 days.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify registered users by email of material changes at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after that date constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
